Enhancing Performance through Improved Budgeting

Organized by CBPS, NIPFP and The World Bank in May 2015, the seminar was attended by close to 100 senior officials including union level officials from Ministry of Finance & line departments, and officials of the finance and planning departments of 16 states. The seminar had active participation from members of the Expenditure Management Commission (EMC). Dr. Jyotsna Jha, Director CBPS, Dr. Rathin Roy, Director NIPFP, and Mr. Onno Ruhl, Country Director, The World Bank, set the context for the workshop with their opening remarks and speech. Mr. Sumit Bose, Member EMC, made the inaugural speech which set the tone and background of the seminar.
